Local business shows huge support for Oxfordshire hospitals

In fact the Oxford Fine Dining team went on to serve over 6,392 including 4,000 bottles of water, working hard to ensure that staff from across the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust were well fed and looked after.

Sue Randall, Managing Director of Oxford Fine Dining tells us:

‘At the start of the pandemic it quickly became clear that the catering industry was coming to a standstill and that our teams would have no events to cater for or manage. We also knew that we had to do something to support our local hospitals and the staff working within them.

It was so important that those working and having to stay away from their family and support networks were well looked after and provided with well cooked and healthy meals – so they can give the best care to the most poorly patients.

All of us at Oxford Fine Dining are proud to have supported our local hospitals in this practical and tasty way. A huge thank you to all NHS staff who have shown such care, compassion and perseverance in the most challenging of times.’

Gail Williams - from our charity - played an important role ensuring that staff received their meals at the end of their shift, no matter what time of day added:

‘It was a real delight to work alongside the Oxford Fine Dining team to ensure that staff, from across the Trust were welcomed back to the hotel with a delicious and warming meal after a challenging day.

Support like this has really helped ensure that staff were able to care for the sickest of patients and also help look after each other. We would like to express our sincerest thanks to the whole team at Oxford Fine Dining for being by our side to help make a real difference.’
