How your support helps the Horton General Hospital
We know just how important the Horton General is to our local community, and the Horton arm of our charity is dedicated to making a real impact across the whole hospital - for patients and for staff. Your donations and fundraising make all the difference!
This much-loved hospital has long benefited from the generosity of the local population; indeed it is named after its original benefactor, Mary Ann Horton.
We are very grateful for your donations and fundraising that allow us to make such a difference across the hospital.
Recent funding from the charity has helped us to transform the Children's Emergency Department, creating a waiting area just for younger patients and funding specialist equipment in the treatment rooms. We have also created a special Reminiscence Room for older patients, which is particularly helpful for those with dementia, and funded further improvements for the Brodey Cancer Centre.
With your help we can do even more.

Over many years your donations have helped make so many improvements - and with your help we want to do even more.
Today much of the charitable support comes from the local community and businesses in the area. Your generous donations, fundraising and gifts in Wills fund the very latest medical equipment, specialist training and improvements to the hospital environment – they really make a difference, helping our fantastic staff provide even better care!
With your help we can do more to enhance patient and staff areas across the Horton.
