‘Wheelie’ good news!

As a charity we have been lucky enough to have been donated seven brand new bikes by Charity Bike Build, an organisation that provide bikes as part of a team building initiative for companies around the UK.

These bikes were built by a very generous company named Sharp Life Sciences in Oxford. Recently some of our young patients visited the John Radcliffe Hospital to collect their new bicycle.

Amongst them were 2018 OX5 RUN poster girl Anna who is a patient at Oxford Children’s Hospital and little James who spent time on Tom’s Ward earlier this year after breaking his leg.

We were also able to give a bike to our friends at the Paediatric Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Service, which is located the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre to help aid children across Oxfordshire and beyond with their rehabilitation.

We would like to thank both Charity Bike Build and Sharp Life Sciences for allowing us to offer such amazing gifts and for putting a smile on our young patient’s faces.
