Information for hospital staff

Welcome to your charity.

Oxford Hospitals Charity only supports the hospitals, patients and staff within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our remit is to make a difference for patients and staff across the Trust.

This area of our website is aimed at staff working within the Trust.

We hope it will help you find useful information about fundraising, applying for funding, and how you can get more involved with the charity.

Every year we fund millions of pounds of support to areas across the Trust, bringing in state of the art medical equipment, making major improvements to hospital areas for patients and staff and funding specialist training and research.

Your help can make all the difference.

One very simple thing everyone can do is remember that if you are asked by a patient, their friends or family how they can 'give something back', 'help' or 'make a difference' please encourage them to talk to Oxford Hospitals Charity about the ways they can support the hospital, ward or area.

This simple 'spreading the word' really does make all the difference.

Similarly, please wear our Oxford Hospitals Charity button badges (there are also versions for the Horton General and Children's hospitals), as this encourages support. If you'd like badges, notebooks or pens for your team just get in touch.

If we have already funded something in your area we like to make sure everyone is aware of the support through different forms of recognition, such as plaques and charity stickers (wipe-clean). We also encourage you to have our fundraising magazines and posters displayed.

Please let the charity team know if you are organising any fundraising for your area.

We can help with sponsorship forms, insurance and general advice for making your event a success - a quick phone call or email is all it takes.

So whether you want to organise a raffle, collection or an event, do get in touch and let us know.

Please also see information about how Oxford Hospitals Charity can help, by funding equipment, training and improvements to your area.

Staff must not accept cash donations, and should always encourage donors to donate online via www.hospitalcharity.co.uk or deposit cash gifts with the Cashiers Office (where there are donation forms to make sure their donation goes to the correct areas).

If someone wishes to send a cheque they should make it payable to Oxford Hospitals Charity and send to the address below.

If you would like your donation to support a particular hospital or area, just include that in a covering note.

We hope this is of use - don't hesitate to get in touch if you need to speak to someone here.
