The Oxford Children's Hospital is a very special place indeed.
Built around the needs of children and their families, with most of the clinical areas grouped together under one roof, it is bright and happy with indoor and outdoor play areas, sensory rooms, and even a school.
There are specialist wards to help children with many conditions, including cancer, cardiac, neurological and respiratory conditions and those recovering from major surgery. It is the main hospital for children from across Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley, with young patients coming from as far afield as Northern Ireland and Jersey for some key specialist services, such as craniofacial surgery.
What you may not know is that there wouldn't be a children's hospital in Oxford without charitable support.
Close to £15 million was raised to help create this very special place, and today, donations and fundraising continue to transform the care we are able to offer our young patients.
Thanks to your support we were able to fund the very best patient monitor systems across all hospital areas in the Trust caring for children, microbiology equipment to quickly diagnose meningitis in just two hours (rather than two days), and a major contribution towards the new parents' accommodation.
We work closely with the teams on each children's ward and department to help provide the extras that make time in hospital that little bit easier for our young patients and their families.
It is always so inspiring when our local community and those who have spent time in the hospital decide to fundraise to support the Children's Hospital and children's services across our Trust, and we are here to help you with your fundraising efforts.

Your fundraising, donations and gifts in Wills can benefit children's care across Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, including the Children's Ward at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, intensive care areas for newborns and children and children's services at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, as well as across the whole of the Oxford Children's Hospital.
