Patients can become bored and anxious in hospital so we’ve developed a range of activities to offer the calm and mental diversion that comes from being involved in a creative activity.

Take time out to immerse yourself in a painting, do a doodle or listen to a poem. Feedback from staff has shown that taking even a short break to do something creative has allowed them to take their mind elsewhere away from the stresses.

Small Grants Programme

Our Small Grants Programme, helps bring ideas to life and open to all OUH staff. We provide funding up to £3,000 to help make a real difference to our hospital departments, patients and staff.
