We want to say a massive thank you to Oxford City Stars who supported our charity at their recent match against the Invicta Dynamos, raising an amazing £2,000!

In 2017 the child of Head Coach Shannon Taylor spent time in the John Radcliffe Hospital with intussusception, a twisted bowel condition.

He said: “We were so well supported during our stay and friends have said the same - this is a fantastic charity and one I am happy we are supporting!! The money raised is going to a very worthy cause!”

The team stood out on the ice in their pink and teal charity-branded jerseys, which were kindly provided by Dunamis Sportswear, and then sold with all the profits going to the charity.

On the night the stadium was buzzing with excitement and Naomi Stewart Hale, our Corporate Partnerships Manager was asked to carry out the ceremonial puck drop

The match sadly didn’t go City Stars way, but it was a great crowd and an exciting match with some very generous support for the charity from the fans.

Naomi said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to the players and team at the Oxford City Stars and to everyone who donated and bought the jerseys.

It was great to be invited along to watch a fantastic match and we look forward to working more closely with the team in the future.”
