Horton General Hospital

How your donation helps the Horton General Hospital

We know just how important the Horton General is to our local community, and the Horton arm of our charity is dedicated to making a real impact across the whole hospital - for patients and for staff.

This much-loved hospital has long benefited from the generosity of the local population; indeed it is named after its original benefactor, Mary Ann Horton.

During the pandemic we have focussed on ensuring staff and patients get the support they need - with patient activity packs and virtual music on wards providing valuable distraction for patients while visiting has been restricted, alongside regular deliveries to boost the morale of staff during the toughest of times.

We are very grateful for your donations and fundraising that allow us to react so quickly to the changing needs in the hospital.

Even during the pandemic our normal work has continued, and we are delighted to have recently funded £50,000 of support to help create a dedicated space for children visiting the Horton Emergency Department.

Around 11,000 children a year from Banbury and the surrounding area come to the Horton for Emergency care, so this major improvement will have a huge impact.

To donate please use the button on this page - and we can ensure that your kind gift is used to benefit the Horton Hospital.

Over many years your donations have helped make so many improvements - and with your help we want to do even more.

Today much of the charitable support comes from the local community and businesses in the area. Your generous donations, fundraising and gifts in wills fund the very latest medical equipment, specialist training and improvements to the hospital environment – they really make a difference, helping our fantastic staff provide even better care!

With your help we can do more to enhance patient and staff areas across the Horton.
